Nintendo announced this week that starting early next year they will be offering a new wireless device that will allow you to play multiplayer games with other GameBoy users without the burdensome cable that is required currently. The devices use a "bluetooth-like" technology that will allow you to connect to other players within 10-15 feet from you.
This move is said to be in response to the new Nokia Ngage device. Cell phone maker Nokia has just released a new Cell Phone/Gaming device call the Ngage that allows players to connect using bluetooth.
The question is: Can Nintendo keep a tight grip on the handheld game market as their console game (GameCube) falls behind taking hit after hit from Sony and Microsoft.
