 Setting up your password:

Step 1. Make an adminpass.cfg file on your machine or use this one(To save the file, right click on it and select Save Target as....)

Put it in your halflife\cstrike folder.  Most of the time this is located at c:\SIERRA\halflife, but it could be somewhere else depending on your custom installation.

Open your adminpass.cfg file with notepad and edit it to say: (substitute your password for the name password)

      setinfo _pw-home password

Step 2. Create a shortcut on your desktop to the game you will be playing, or copy an existing counter-strike shortcut.  Edit the shortcut (by right clicking a choosing properties), and in the "Target" field, add this text:

      +exec adminpass.cfg

For example your finished shortcut could look like this:

      “C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\hl.exe” -console -game cstrike +connect lc.lanclub.com +exec adminpass.cfg

When you want to enter the server, just click on that link and it will automatically take you to the server as well as put in your password.

If you need to load your password while already in the game, you can type:  exec adminpass.cfg in the console. This loads the information in the file in the same way the startup shortcut does.

You will need to enter the server with your adminpass executed in order to get into the server.  The server will be set to block your wonID or Name out unless it has the password.
