1: Max Payne 2: The Fall Of Max Payne

This game by far wins by a long shot. Since the first Max Payne was released, the long awaited arrival of the sequel has proven to be better than the original. Unlike most sequels, Max Payne 2 takes off right where the first one ends and makes reference to the first one with the same characters and with the pre-exsisting storyline. One new added future to this game is that Max is not the only playable character but his love interest Mona Sax as well. Although Max Payne 2 is not as long as the first game, it will certainly keep you busy and guessing till the very end.

2: Kingdom Hearts

Disney's very first RPG was a big hit! Who ever thought that Donald, Goofy, and the rest of the Disney gang teamed up with a child named Sora could make a hit video game? I laughed at that idea at first, but I decided to try it out anyway and after that, I couldn't turn off my PS2, I was addicted. This game, in my eyes, is like the final fantasy games just replaced with Disney characters. What really interested me the most in this game is the magic and the trinities, and of course the story. Kingdom Hearts is definitely a must buy.

3: True Crime: Streets of LA

This game actually has a lot in common with the grand theft auto series, where you can roam the streets, steal vehicles, and go on missions. One BIG difference here though, your the good guy. The story mode in this game is also a lot better in the sense that it actually goes somewhere, not to mention the multiple endings. What I enjoyed most in this game is that your missions were not all road missions. It varied from chases, to tailing cars, to sneaking in places, to street fights, and last but not least shoot outs! I like how the creators made it authentic and programed little street crimes into the game so you feel like a real cop messing with the scum of LA. Bottom line, True Crime VS Grand Theft Auto, True Crime all the way!

4: Mega Man X7

How long has it been since we've seen Mega Man? I think the last time I saw him was on Super Nintendo even though I heard he had a game on the PSX. It's about time we bring the X series back on the PS2 because next to Super Mario Bros., Mega Man is the best and longest lasting series out there. Anyway, Mega Man X7 introduces us to a new hero, a teenager by the name of Axel. So now we have Zero, X, and Axel to form the team of the hunters and they are at war with a rebel force who call themselves Red Alert. This game introduces Mega Man to the 3-D environment and the first ever team battle where 2 out of the 3 heroes (chosen by the player) get to go to each stage to better their chances. Aside from that, the game is pretty much structured as the other Mega Man games, a stage select screen and a final boss.

5: Thirteen

Now when I first saw this game I was a bit skeptical on the count of it having cartoon-like graphics. But I took the advice of the worker at the game store and purchased this game. When I first played it, the fact that the cartoon graphics made it look less realistic didn't matter, this game was fun! It was based off a French comic so all the scenes looked like a comic book which I thought was cool. The story leaves you wondering as well because your character is accused of murdering the president, but for some reason, your memory is wiped clean! This game has a multiplayer feature like Goldeneye as well, so the player can enjoy with friends as well.
