The Concept
Each clan is ranked on the ladder. If
you are challenged and you lose the clan match, then your clan moves
down one rank in the ladder as the team that challenged you takes
the rank that you had. If the challenging team loses the clan
match, both clans will keep their existing ranks. |
|
|
|
Challenge Any clan on the Ladder may
challenge another clan who is on one of the 3 rungs above them.
For example, if your clan is ranked number 7, then you may challenge
any of the clans that are ranked 4, 5 or 6. You are not
allowed to challenge more then one clan at a time. You are
also not allowed to challenge the same clan within 2 weeks of the
completion of your last challenge.
A clan is challenged by clicking on the challenge
link next to their clan name on the ladder. An email will be
sent to the clan email address of the clan that was challenged as
well as to the LANclub Ladder Admins. The clan that was
challenged will have 72 hours to reply to the challenge. They
may accept the challenge or they may offer an exemption. If
the clan that was challenged does not respond within 72 hours then
their team forfeits and the challenging team wins by default. |

Accepting a Challenge In order
for the challenged team to accept a challenge,
they must post a formal Acceptance in the LANclub Ladder Forums.
For an example of a forum acceptance
click here. The date and time of the acceptance in the forums has to be within
72 hours of the date of the original challenge e-mail.
In the acceptance you must list the following
items:
- Three acceptable times for the clan match.
These times must fall in the LANclub acceptable clan match times
list below. The dates of the match have to be at least 2
days but not more then 9 days from the day of your acceptance.
- Your choice of the 1st and 3rd maps in the
clan match. These maps must be on the LANclub Ladder
approved map list.
- Your choice of where the clan match will be
held. You may choose your clan server or your opponents
server. If there is a LANclub Ladder Match Server
available, you may request to reserve one. If a server
cannot be agreed upon then the 1st and 3rd maps will be played
on the defender's choice and the 2nd map will be played on the
challengers choice.

Exemptions There are a few types of
exemptions that the clan that was challenged can use instead of
accepting a challenge. In order to use an exemption, the clan
must email the exemption to the challenging team as well as the
LANclub Ladder Admins. The date of the email must be within 72
hours of the original challenge e-mail.
Valid Challenge Exemptions
- Busy- If you have been formally
challenged by another clan first and have not completed your
match yet.
- Rest- If you have completed a match
within 7 days you can request a postponement of the challenge.
The postponement will extend your time to accept the new
challenge to 7 days from your last clan match. To use the
rest exemption you must include a link to your prior clan match
topic in the LANclub Ladder Forums.
- Vacation- Each clan is entitled to 7
days of vacation every 3 months. If your clan is planning
to be out of touch for a period of time. You can notify
the LANclub Ladder Admins and they will file the vacation
exemption for you while you are gone.
- Challenge not Valid- If you believe
that the challenging clan has no right to challenge you, you may
file this exemption. This could be because
- The clan is not within 3 ranks below your
clan on the ladder (this could be due to your recent
movement on the ladder has not been recorded yet on the
webpage)
- You have had a clan match with the
challenging clan in the last 2 weeks.
- The challenging clan is still in a
challenge with another clan.

Match Results Reporting After the match is
over, Match results should need to be reported by both teams in the
Match topic in the LANclub Ladder Forums within an hour of the end
of the match. Each clan should report the scores of each map.
See the sample match forum for examples. |

|
Match Disputes If your clan decides to
dispute the match results for whatever reason, an email must be sent
to the LANclub Ladder Admin's within one hour of the end of the
match. You also must enter a reply of simply "Disputed" in the
match topic in the forums.
Every player must record at least one demo during
each map. If asked for it, you must supply it. Also a
screen shot or a demo of your final scores may be requested so each
team should have at least one member who records that.
The LANclub Ladder Admins will be the final judge
on any issue and decisions will be made based on what is believed to
be fair based on the evidence or lack or evidence available. |
